I'm sure that in your life, you
are involved in many kinds of technology. I’ll bet most of are all great bloggers! You can use technology
to your advantage in your classroom by creating your own blog and getting your
children blogging with the help of their parents. For those of you who don’t
blog, a blog is a Web publishing tool that allows you to self-publish
commentary in a journal format, while adding artwork and links to other blogs
or websites.

Why Blog? Blogs are used to
motivate children and give them authentic reasons to write. We have talked
about authentic assessment and authentic environments. Authentic also applies to
children applying what they learn to real-life activities and events and using
the real world as a source of ideas.
As a future teacher, I will
have goals for my classroom blog some of which are the following:
-To keep parents updated on
daily homework , weekly curriculum, and events.
-To allow parents to access
information that will help them succeed in their children’s formative years…
-To give parents and
students to express their ideas and comment on weekly posts.
